Refund policy

The Hip Hat offers a 14-day return policy for retail products. This means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase.

If you need to start a return, please contact us at hello@thehiphat.com. Once your return is accepted, we will provide you with instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note that items sent back to us without prior approval will not be accepted. If you have any questions about returns, feel free to reach out to us at hello@thehiphat.com. Please be aware that every return will be subject to a $15 restocking fee.

Damages and issues unrelated to the nature of our products: Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Every hat and piece of jewelry by The Hip Hat is handcrafted and artisanal, therefore there can be variations in the final products including measurements, color hue, possible spotting, different stiffening levels, and others of a similar nature that are inherent to handcrafted and artisanal hats and jewelry. When a product exhibits any possible variation listed or others of a similar nature, it is not considered to be defective, faulty, unfit, or in any other way imply that the product does not work as intended; therefore it is not returnable.

Wholesale orders are not returnable. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items: Certain types of items cannot be returned, including custom products such as special orders and personalized items. This also applies to wholesale orders. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges. - The quickest way to get what you want is to return the item and then make a separate purchase for the new item once the return is accepted.

Refunds.- We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return. We will inform you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed automatically to your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. Also, please be aware that a restocking fee will be applied.
